The world is constantly changing, the way we drive, the way we work, the way we sleep, the way we eat…Literally, everything is changing all the time. Social media is also changing, users are becoming more concerned about their privacy and the need to share content increases every day. Targeting privacy concerned users, Vero has developed a new concept of social media, a new way to share content. Moving towards a different direction from Instagram, Vero allows users to select the type of audience they want to share their content with, giving the app a more intimate and exclusive.

According to Business Insider, Instagram has reached 1 Billion active users, that is roughly 14% of the entire World’s population using one single app. Instagram’s success is undoubtful, but is it sustainable? Users are becoming more and more concerned about privacy and data protection, while Facebook struggles to keep their customers’ privacy safe, resulting in a decrease of active users by 5% in 2018, according to Convince & Convert. Can we expect Instagram to go to the same route, losing users in the long run? The future is uncertain, but Vero is investing on building a community stronger than any other social media platform.

Vero and Facebook are similar, but not really…Imagine Facebook without ads, without algorithm, without privacy and data security concerns, imagine Facebook not considering their users a “product to be sold” …You’ve imagined Vero. Vero has everything that Facebook has, but better, and there is a valid reason behind it, Vero was created by some billionaire, who was frustrated with Facebook’s faults. So why is Facebook still the social media leader? The answer to that might be behind the man himself, Mark Zuckerberg. Despite all the cool and innovative features of Vero, the chances of the app becoming the largest social media platform is pretty thin, not because Facebook is a better platform, but because Facebook is a better company, it has better business strategies, and a better business model.
